Towersey Church Fete
Towersey Manor is once again the stunning setting for Towersey Church Fete which is to be held on Father’s Day, Sunday 19th June from 12:30 – 4:00pm.
This quintessentially English fete grows in popularity every year with attractions for every age, from strolling round the beautiful gardens to running down the track in our popular children races.
You could indulge in a delicious cream tea served in the tranquillity of the mediaeval barn, or take a seat on the front lawn whilst enjoying food from our BBQ and a refreshing pint of Pimms or a cold beer from the bar. Or perhaps treat yourself to an ice cream whilst enjoying the music from The Notations with Hayley Gomm.
Entertainment for the children …
There is lots to do for the children, big or small – they could try their hand at the coconut shy or skittles or even see if they can hook a duck or how far they can throw an egg without it breaking. And let’s not forget our own personal favourite, the Loo-pla!! Back by popular demand is Professor Boodle with his traditional Punch and Judy show, as is the bouncy castle and megaslide.
… entertainment for adults too!
In the courtyard we have a packed afternoon of entertainment with performances by Towersey Village Voices (the local community choir) and dancing by our very own Towersey Morris Men and the Ladies Three Horse Shoes Morris Group.
We pride ourselves in being a traditional fete, where in addition to all the above attractions we still have the ever popular homemade cake stall, bric-a-brac and book stall, the manor boutique selling nearly new clothes and a Plant stall. The Grand Raffle, Silent Action and Tombola give everyone a chance to win some very attractive prizes.
There is plenty of parking (including disabled parking). Admission price is £2 for adults, with children up to the age of 12 admitted free.
