The 43rd. Towersey Village Festival 23-27 August 2007.

Early ticket sales are going well and applications for trade stands and volunteer stewards are flooding in ready for the 43rd. Towersey Village Festival on 23-27 August 2007. Just to let you know that Full Weekend Season tickets for this years Festival are now on sale. We sold out in 2006 so book early for 2007. Festival Committee AGM.


At the AGM it was agreed to make the following contributions to support village activities in the forthcoming year:

Towersey Pantomime Fund ...£500.
Towards a new bench on the village green in memory of Frank Honibal ...£1000.
Towersey Village Website upgrade ...£150.
Booker Ranger Guides ...£1000.
Towersey Playing Field ...£2500.
Towersey Village Hall ...£2500.
St.Catherine's Church Tower Repair Fund ...£5241.
Friends of Towersey Festival ...£800.
Two Christmas Parties-one for the elderly and one for the young ...£150.
New Towersey Gardening Group-speakers for meetings ...£150.
Chinnor Day Centre ...£100.
Thame Day Centre ...£200.
Thame Citizens Advice Bureau ...£200.
In addition, the Festival Committee pay for the printing and production of the village newsletter, a total of £592 in 2006 and have purchased two second-hand containers at a total cost of £950, one for the Festival's own use and one for the Cricket Club use. So, total distribution in 2006 has reached £16,033.
Further amounts are retained to cover startup costs for publcity in 2007, and a complete redesign of the Festival's website to make online booking easier.
