Welcome to the
Towersey Parish Council news page
We will update this information as often as possible.
The 2 notice boards in Towersey display the Minutes and Agenda of Parish Council meetings plus other local information.
The Parish Council is responsible for the village of Towersey and its environs.
The 5 Councillors fulfil a number of roles which include: consulting on all planning matters in the village, coordinating the grass cutting schedules, arranging emptying of the dog waste bins and litter bins along with assisting South Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council in various community tasks and reporting incidences to them such as street light faults or pot holes which need repairing. The Council also liaises with the local Police force on issues which concern or affect the Parish.
The Parish Council has a Budget (often known as a Precept) allocated from local government which funds the work undertaken on behalf of the Community. The Council’s accounts are audited annually by both internal and external auditors.
Please contact us if you have any questions, comments or suggestions about the Parish Council. You can call The Clerk on 01844 350395 or email joannewills@btinternet.com
